I have a slight obsession with Urban sprawl. I especially enjoy the abandoned things that have been forgotten. Here are a few of my favorite photos from various shoots.
Ever since I was a small child I've been amazed with power wires; the monolithic structures that are created to support them, the divisions that the thin lines create in the sky, the intricate nature of the technology that is associated with them. It's a sign of a well ordered society, one that gives away natural aesthetics for function that drives our daily life. Power wires have become a necessity and most people don't stop to even look at them.
I absolutely love abandoned things. Buildings are my favorite things to explore. Central State Hospital in Indianapolis has long been abandoned. It has recently been acquired by the city of Indianapolis. There have been plans to turn the property into condominium estates, but mostly the fire department uses the old buildings as a training ground.
